Pocket Yachts. The Weekender, The Vacationer, and The Pocket
Cruiser.
The Back Yard Yacht Builders
Association was formed to bring together the many widely spread
builders of these fine sailboats. We are all builders of these
small sail boats and enjoy the building and sailing them with
equal pleasure. The association will help sponsor events around
the lower U.S. and Canada in the coming years. This is a family
oriented association that will focus on fun for every one and
some competitive sailing from time to time.
 Our boats are the Weekender which is
a 16' LOD gaff rigged sloop. It is a fine small pocket cruiser
and is the most popular of the three sail boats.

 The second most popular boat is the Vacationer
and it is a 21' LOD gaff rigged sloop much like the Weekender.
But it has a much larger interior and more sail area. It is a
boat you can spend a week on and be comfortable.

 The third boat is the Pocket Cruiser
and is the smallest of the three but has more interior space
than one would think in such a small boat being 14' LOD. It carries
a fair amount of sail area and is fun to sail.
